Professional Experience:
Broad teaching experience in environmental engineering, water chemistry, unit operations, water and wastewater treatment plant design, operation and modeling Has started a new Environmental Engineering Department in Marmara University. Lectured in educational courses as an invited lecturer in Turkey and abroad. Gave seminars for water and wastewater treatment plant operators. Supervised various M.S. and Ph. D. studies in Turkey and other countries. Author of 30 international
refereed journal , 33 international conference papers and various discussions. Is a member of the Science Board of Turkish Research Council (TUBITAK) and observer in the Scientific Committee of the European Environmental Agency (EEA). He is the deputy secretary general of the 5th world water forum that took place in Istanbul in March 2009. He worked as an international expert in the Ilisu Dam Project.
Industrial Experience:
Worked as a consultant to water and sewerage administrations of more than twelve cities in Turkey and abroad, such as: İstanbul, İzmit, Bursa, Samsun, Malatya, Siirt and Antalya Greater City Water and Sewerage Administrations. Worked on various reservoir, water and wastewater treatment plant projects and supervised the design and construction of new water and wastewater treatments plants in Turkey and abroad. Took part in the Ministry of Environment and Forestry Committee for upgrading the Turkish Water Pollution Control Regulations of Turkey. He was the
deputy secretary general of the 5th World Water Forum.
